Wala Wala with WS, Ibu, YX, MT and Ah Hai was simply fantastic.. of course not to forget the band Unxpected.. the songs were great too.. "Wake Me Up When September Ends", "What's Up", and the comical "I'll Survive".. LoL.. didnt have my wine though i'm very gianz for it.. just beers.. Kilkenny is nice!!

garang guni at Hougang area to help COR today.. old but still strong!! my group covered 13 blocks, with me as the leader!! hahah.. but leader or no leader, not much different.. just 'knock-knock-collect-collect'.. shiong.. i really dont understand y garang guni so shiong and yet i agreed to help out? someone enlighten me please.. hahah.. maybe WS or Ah Hai got the answer.. y LKK le still want to help out ar? hahah..

yesterday was my last day or terp training also.. haha.. errmm.. it was a crash course for terping.. so my terping still not zai yet.. haha.. gonna put in all my hard work.. to catch up with the rest and aim to be the best.. haha.. i wonder how my first terping will be? LOL

Back to the Future

my prof flying off again.. hahah.. but he will be back next week..

today my prof asked me wat i wanted to do after i graduate.. and i told him "i dont know".. well, not really a good answer.. but then tat is the truth.. i really dont know..

been thinking should i go do something similar to my FYP, some naturalist, botanist, field biologist related stuff? or should i stay in lab? or totally non-science related?

i dont mind doing something on botany, field biology or even vet.. just tat the tot of studying again for a few years put me off.. stay in lab? well, didnt do any internship and my FYP not really lab-based.. so worried tat not able to handle lab stuff.. *sigh* should have go for internship.. back to my teaching? well, still considering..

talked to my prof today a bit about Singaporean in general (everyone, please do not be offended).. well, both of us agreed tat some Singaporeans are really too over-protected.. either by their parents or the government in general.. a lot of things they dont dare to try and we are wondering if they can take hardship.. well, only some ar.. not all, so please dont be offended.. and even u are offended, i dont really care..

the conversation with prof reminded me of how most of my *cough* *cough* friends put a lot of importance in exam results.. i argued before with my friends and i still think exam results are nothing.. they really prove nothing.. well i must agree, in general, if u succeed in studies, u will succeed in your life.. but not always so.. and exam results cant prove a person's character and personalities..

chinese have this saying "一命，二运，三风水，四道德，五读书".. so your 'dao de', character, is more important in deciding your life that study.. well, believe it or not is up to you.. but for me, i strongly believe in it.. exam results are prove nothing..

OT

a hectic day.. major problem in FYP.. rush here and there.. a supposedly half day became 1 whole day with OT some more.. darn tired now..

Youngsters

wanna comment something about youngster nowadays.. before tat, i want to say i'm not a youngster anymore, i'm a young adult.. haha..

well, youngster nowadays like to listen to music, whether with their handsets, ipods, mp3 players, etc etc.. which is nothing wrong.. but the problem lies in they turn the volume very loud.. even with a earphone, i can hear wat they are listening to.. wat for turn the volume to high?

i find it very rude to talk to ppl with your earpieces on.. it is like you dont want to listen to wat i'm talking about.. so i'm offended when ppl talk to me with earpieces on.. well, at the very least take out on side of the ear lah!!

youngsters talk with their earpieces on and they turn the volume very high.. the result? they talk super loud!! and all these add together to become SUPER RUDE YOUNGSTER!! wat happen to the basic courtesy and wat you should and should not do in public?

well, today early morning was bad.. but the day turn out to be not bad.. but as the afternoon turn to evening it became bad again.. dont know how to explain.. just plain bad day.. *sigh* hope FYP will be over soon!! i want my holiday.. i want money.. i want grad trip.. i want tai tai life.. i want to nua.. i want to slack.. i want to do nothing..

bought a book today.. =P

The Ellen DeGeneres Show is my fav show.. next is The Tyra Bank Show.. lastly is The Martha Stewart Show.. hmm.. how come all the host is ladies.. haha..

met with a truly emo kid today.. blah~~ none of my business, not even close to him.. so dont care.. emo kids are childish.. i'm emotional, but i'm NOT emo kid.. i dont really show it..

also met with a truly thick skin 'cut queue'-er.. kaoz..

not much progress with my terp course.. arrgghh.. no improvement.. gotta work harder!!

talked to V-jie on the way back to hall about religion.. well, first of all, let me say, i do believe in a 'higher-being' up there.. but i just dont really subscribe to any of the religion yet.. well, the reason..

i do believe in a 'higher-being' because there r still many things tat the modern science cannot explain yet.. a very good example will be how come all the C, N, Na, Ca, Cl, H, O, S (basically all your chemical compound) can form into a person WITH A CONSCIOUS AND CONSCIENCE?? it is just a bunch of elements becoming some compound.. where the conscious and conscience come from??

i dont subscribe to any religion due to various reasons.. well, if all the religions in the world r true, the how come within the same religion there is so many fractions and subgroups? y cant they merge to become 1? wat with the different belief if they r worshiping the same god?

and i have various other reasons which i dont think is suitable to put up on my blog.. but if u want to know more, talk to me directly, i'll discuss more with u.. if u try to convert me, then be prepare to argue alot.. cheers.. =)

2008: Brand New Year, Brand New Hope

countdown again with RSPHI gang!!

started with our usual favourite activity~~ EATING.. haha.. went to Joo Chiat to eat dinner.. i tot we were going to eat crab!! but no!! ended up eating wanton mee.. they said it was very famous, but i find it totally not nice.. no taste and they dont even use the actual type of wanton mee.. they used some not nice de mee kia..

immediately after dinner was supper!! at Bedok 85.. satays, oyster egg, sting ray, chicken wings, sotongs.. oohhh laa laa.. but the others find the food a bit spicy ehh.. i think okay leh.. LOL.. stuffed myself full!! hehehe..

countdown and havoc wreaking at Gen's house.. imagine 22 ppl playing mahjong, singing, chatting, talking, playing board games etc etc.. pure havoc.. the noise!! i cant believe there is not ppl complain about the level of noise.. hahah..

won S$0.30 from mahjong session.. haha.. baked a brownie too.. a bit too little margarine, so a bit dry.. but still nice.. some wine to go along with the party!! wohoo~~ YX was a bit drunk.. she kept insisting she was not.. hahah.. funny.. too bad the cork debris spoilt the ice wine.. bohoo~~

early morning breakfast at McD.. apparently not everyone was 'seh'.. they even wanted to go sing KTV.. hahah.. crazy..

went to airport to send Kian Boon off.. Ting Ting ar, sorry ar.. didnt send u off.. haha..

back to hall and sleep till 6.30.. had a very weird dream.. hahah..

well, it is time to make 2008 New Year Resolution le.. but i'm lazy now.. do it later bah.. haha..

The scam!!

OVE outing was good~~ initially now willing to go cos too broke, but well, promised le, no choice..

kaoz.. scammed by the "day day steamboat" (please translate to Chinese yourself) today!! er dao.. scammed me when I'm at my poorest state.. will not go there again!! they charge per person S$18.. then have to charge for the soup also.. S$10 per pot of soup.. kaoz.. isnt the soup money included inside the S$18?! other steamboat only charge S$15 and include everything liao lor!! KNS.. and there is not much food selection lah!! er xin!! ppl, dont ever go there!! remember dont go to "day day steamboat" (please translate to Chinese)..

yesterday was at Hob Nob with some RSPHI friends to celebrate post Christmas and Ibu's birthday!! ahahah.. tat was high and good!! gave Ibu lots of green tea product!! hahah.. I'm surprised by the amount of green tea product available also.. hahah..

addicted to Melty Kiss by Meiji!! the green tea flavour is fantastic, so is strawberry flavour.. wohoo~~ someone buy lots of it for me please.. hahaha.. LOL

The crazy Christmas adventure

Christmas SS ended le.. so was Christmas gift exchange with RSPHI gang.. haha.. got myself a Sunkiller Clear Water SPF50+.. haha.. how suitable.. i really need it to protect myself from the sun!! wohoo~~

crazy adventure yesterday!! went to watch movie with some of them.. National Treasure: The Book of Secret.. very nice.. but i still like the first one.. hahaha..

then stay out the whole night at town area for some chit chat and then breakfast at Maxwell Market.. wohoo~~ high ar..

so tired tat i slept the whole day.. haahah.. still a bit tired now.. tomolo will be back doing FYP.. where had my weekend gone to?? *sigh*

Damaging Liver

been staying up late for a few days le.. i wonder if my liver is damaged oledi? hahah..

the previous few SS performances were more like outing for seniors!! hahah...

Wednesday night, supper with YX, WS, CW and MT.. busy gossiping and chatting.. reached hall at 5am, then straight away had to prepare to go Ubin.. *sigh*

Thursday night, supper with TL and HZ.. but heng ar was in Boon Lay area.. so not too bad..

Yesterday was strolling and picture taking along the SUPER CROWDED Orchard Road.. haha.. all the squeezing.. nevertheless it was fun!!

i wonder how today will turn out to be?

i seriously need to tidy up my room.. like a pig-sty..

Rosy and Jo went for holiday with their respective families.. i want to go for holiday too.. *sigh*

2 words - very cold!!

wah~~ the office in JBP is super cold.. i guess the rainy days make it even worse..

stuck in the JBP office for 2 days to type my protocol.. edit here and there.. type this, type tat.. quickly get it done and over with..

wat kind of weather do i like? i would say rainy days.. hahha.. cos i love to play in the rain.. but too bad, i'm not a kid anymore.. else i'll sure rush out to play in the rain.. maybe i should do it one day.. hahahahaha..

this holiday everyone is just so busy.. kinda hard to meet up.. FYP, entreprenuership, work etc etc..

dont have much progress in my FYP yet.. havent start doing anything yet.. except for writing up the protocol.. i want action.. hahah.. waiting for the reply from the prof in Bangkok.. as long as he didnt reply, i cant do anything.. sad..

okay, i shall go back to do my stuff.. update again next time..

todat at NIE Canteen met a very irritating auntie.. was queing at the Yong Tauhu stall first while my friends go and select.. then when they were done, it was me and my other friend turn.. well, there was this auntie at the back tat 'ngiam' us.. okay, i admit, it was a bit not nice for us to do tat.. but, hello, it's very common wat.. then nehmind lor, she 'ngiam' lor, then we oledi wanted to let her first de, but she continue to 'ngiam'.. irritated and i just said 'so u want or dont want?'.. and she wanna pick a fight with me.. WTH (>.<)"'

*sigh* if u say nicely, i'll let u go first.. but i just can't stand the attitude she gave us..

was a very productive day.. finished 3 chapters.. or is it 4? lost count.. can do half of the pass year paper.. not bad, ehh.. hahaha..

watched TV with Pat and YX.. and the B1, 2 and 3 came out of nowhere.. hahah.. we were like "stop being a B", "hei you, B".. hahaha.. funny.. hilarious.. a good way to de-stress.. haha.. and Pat was really crazy the whole night.. something is wrong with her.. hahah..

was on a money saving mode.. bohoo~~ somebody give me some money.. haahahha..

The disgusting U students

whee~~ cooked in hall today.. though just instant noodles with 'cai xin'.. but 7 packets of noodles not easy task ehh.. though not very nice, but not un-edible also.. okay lah.. wat shall i cook again next? hahah.. i wanna bake cookies!! but no oven, bohoo~~

didnt study much today.. not in the optimal condition.. flip through 3 sets of notes.. but can't remember much.. tomolo must kampate!!

something tat puzzled me for very long time le.. for about 3 years +++ le.. how come university students can't keep the pantry clean? how come university students can't flush the toilet after use? how come university students can't throw rubbish INTO the rubbish bin? (okay, i dont mean ALL university students, but i guess is most bah).. i shall not post pictures, else everyone will not have appetite to eat for a few days.. *arrrgghh*

uneducated = no manners? i doubt the reverse will hold true also.. educated doesn't mean got manners okay..

realise tat i didnt post much photos in my blog le.. shall start snapping again soon..

Ohh, the good feeling

a long weekend.. stayed at home..

good things about going back home
(1) you get to eat mom's homecook food (no msg, no colouring, reduced salt and oil)
(2) you get to laze around and nua whole day
(3) you get to watch all the TV shows you like and watch all the canto TVB dramas
(4) you get to 'sha jiao' with you mom and dad
(5) you get to complaint to your mom and dad
(6) you get to sleep on your own bed and use your favourite blanket and pillow
(7) you get to rummage through the refrigerator
(8) you get to eat breakfast with you mom and dad

no wonder i miss home oledi..

those who are staying with parents now, please cherish..

but at the same time, learn to be independent..

The Final Lecture in NTU!!!

wohoo~~~ just finished my last lecture in NTU.. really the last lecture.. well, unless i fail any of the module, but *choy* wont lah ar.. hahah.. next sem purely FYP, so no lecture.. hahha.. will i miss going to lecture? dont sure now.. probably wont bah.. haha..

now tat my life in NTU going to end real soon, like a few more months left.. feel like it is so fast.. 3.5 years le.. half more year and i'll be in the work force, logging 8 hours a day, slogging my life till i'm 65.. arrrgghhh..

got male version of tai-tai? hahah..

a whole day at SADeaf for the interpreter course.. second half of the day was tiring.. pure signing and receptive.. *phew* one day down, 6 more to go.. hahaha.. can i make it to the end?

fish and co. with WP today.. *shiok* prawns.. calamari.. sauteed vegetables.. satisfied my fish craving.. i'm a very FISHY person.. hahah.. and PRAWNY.. and CALAMARI-Y.. hahah.. high from seafood..

there must be an important football today.. everyone is crowding in the TV lounge.. and the loud cheer of "goal" sort of confirmed it.. hahah.. i just dont get football, not my cup of tea..

i just dont understand how can someone be so negative? if u dont like, just quit.. nobody cares..

Work and money

FOC was like 3 months ago, yet all the matters pertaining to it still haven settle yet.. just dont feel like dealing with it.. but, y drag another 2 weeks and feel miserable when u can get it done in a few days and enjoy the rest of the week? *sigh* PROCRASTINATION~~

finally handed in my Structural assignment.. i wont say i put in 100% effort..

life these days are so monotonous, even though my every schedule is full of activities.. i guess i over commit myself.. wanted to pull out of certain things.. but it is not nice to pull out just like tat.. after all the effort i put in, all the time i put in, all the money i spend on it.. *sigh* i need a short get-away..

finally today will be the last tuition for this year.. well, at least until late Dec.. hahah.. dont have to drag my feet to the kids house and spend 2 hours getting agitated.. but tat also means i dont have income till lets say, late Dec or Jan.. money money money.. where is all the money? if only i have a million dollars (preferably US$, Sterling Pound also can)~~

motivation to do work and to study are back.. wohoo~~ kampate for the last sem.. no more chance to take exam le.. haahha.. also means last chance to pull up my overall grade.. first class honour, where are you?

watched an episode of "Dear, Dear, Son-in-Law" (女婿当家).. not bad.. interesting story line.. but hor, i find Jeanette Aw acting a bit weird weird (no offence to her fans, okay).. sometimes very fake, sometimes okay, sometimes just plain weird.. and i meant all in 1 episode you know.. funny hor.. this drama can be consider one of the better one bah.. recently TCS drama just cant make it, but this one worth woching bah..

started watching TV and doing work together recently.. not bad.. not too distracting though.. in fact i did more work while watching TV compared to without.. probably used to do it this way since young bah.. used to crowd around the living room table with my sis to do homework or study while watching TV.. haha..

missing out so much of TV shows.. must catch up now.. haha..

Mindless grumbling

funny.. realise tat the blooger log-in page had added a list of languages.. and also realise tat there is no Bahasa Melayu.. Malay Language.. how come? there is Bahasa Indonesia but no Bahasa Melayu.. well, i think my Bahasa Melayu deteriorated le.. now can only converse.. if ask me to write essay, i'll die.. converse still no problem.. *sheepish grin*

yesterday was fun.. steamboat @ Bugis.. reminded of the "go go go" experience with LT.. haha.. too bad he was not there yesterday, otherwise will be more fun.. hahah.. dessert after tat was nice too.. and the nua-ing @ MacD.. haha..

so lethargic recently.. and the my last exam will be coming really soon.. kampate..
