Self-help

The very first step to self-help is to admit that we (in this case, I) have problem(s) and need help... tat is fundamental... so here i m writing this blog entry about all those area in my life tat need improvement... :)

i know exam is coming soon, yet i feel no stress about it... i know i have not much money left, yet i still spend $$ like money... i know i have tonnes of work to do, yet i just procrastinate... *sigh*

*Sigh* Disappointment

rented and watched the "Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire"... wat a disappointment...

compared to previous "Harry Potter" movies, this one sucks to the core... the new Dumbledore is bad... very bad... alot of the story is been omitted... and mind u, really alot of it... overall, the whole movie looks like fragmented movie... the director is really bad... all my favourite part is not in the movie... alot of things the movie didnt explain... i remember when i read the book, i cried at the end of the book, cos it is very sad... but not in the movie... the feeling is just not there...

*sigh* really disappointed... books r really better... a word paints a thousand pictures...

PEORTH; A Dice Cup

The dice cup is the receptacle from which dice are thrown; it is the source of chance or fate. A die which is not thrown is just a lump of wood with dots on it. It is only when the dice are thrown that they have significance, because the manner and position of their falling is in the hands of fate. People think of fate as an inevitable tide, but it is not. Fate merely presents you with choices. There is the choice of whether or not to throw the dice and whether to heed what the dice say. Life is full of choices, but many people choose to let the hand of fate guide them instead of taking charge of their destiny and claiming it in spite of what fate may bring.

We always have a choice in everything. No one can upset us, we can only choose to be upset. No one can exert power over us unless we choose to allow them to. Claim our power of choice. Do not allow others to compromise our truth and do not let others prevent us from doing what we need to do. The only danger here is not to make a choice, to leave things to fate. That path will only disempower us.

"Make our own choices and take charge of our own destiny."

The dice have been rolled and fate has control of our life, but it does not have to be this way. We can regain power. Start to make choices for ourselves instead of following the choices of others.

LAGU; Water, Sea

Water is a primal power that can never be truly contained or controlled. Water flows where it will, drawn back and forth by the power of the moon. All fluids on the earth are governed in just the same way by the moon. This includes the sea, the fluid within plants and the fluid within us. To be in harmony with creation, we need to attune ourselves to the seasons and the moon. Eating and living in harmony with nature around us gives us a new perspective and opens up many possibilities to acquire new and greater knowledge and transform it into wisdom.

It is only by attunement to creation that our life will truly flow as it is meant to. Emotional balance comes from eating in balance with creation around us. Natural foods lead to natural flow, whereas unnatural foods lead to disharmony and stagnation. The sea is always fluid and moving, so it should be a part of our life. Embrace change, for it is the only constand in life.

We need to learn to go with the flow. There is a need to initiate some movement into many areas of our life or we will start to become stagnant. A few, simple changes can bring about great, positive effects.

Cold, flu, fever

caught the cold virus somewhere... sneezing, coughing, blowing noses and headache whole day...

Darn! Disgusting Behaviour

wakao... wat a bad night...

went to the boring recruitment talk by this company (name omited to prevent being sued)... such a boring talk... after tat the ppl in charged in tat company bring us to this bar/restaurant in suntec (dont remember the name le, but related to NUS de... NUSS or something like tat) for some food and drink... well, the food and drink r just a pretext to try to persuade or psycho us into joining them... wasted... such a nice place but BAD company... not with the right kind of ppl...

well, something more irritating happen... me, and 2 more girls r suppose to come back to hall... so we kinda agree tat we can stay till a bit later and share a taxi... so me and one of the girl were happily talking and enjoying till it is about 11pm++... since we dont want to pay the midnight charge we intend to go le... then the other girl keep delaying... saying "lets stay for a while more" and stuff like tat... she keep delaying until very late le... then in the end, we found out that she wanted to go "chiong-ing"... wat the f*ck!!!

if she wanted to go "chiong-ing", she should just tell us lor... then me and the other girl can go back first... in fact if she tell us earlier, we can even take train and bus back... by the time she told us she is not going back to hall with us, it is too late... we have to pay the midnight charge oledi... disgusting... inconsiderate fool!!! disgusting behaviour... idiot!!! really angry with her... hope she burn in hell!!!

The Gift of Life

Donate blood, the gift of life.

donated my blood just now... should be my 8th or 9th times bah... cannot remember le...

well, the fact is tat, every year, there is sure some deficiency in some hospitals and sure not enuf blood de (for operation and stuff)... u may ask y... the reason is the amount of blood donors are so little...

i hope tat through my blog, i can encourage more ppl to donate blood... here i'll debunk some common myths about blood donations so tat ppl will be more willingly to donate...

Myth 1: Blood donation is painful.
Truth 1: Before the nurse poke the needle into u, they will give u local anesthetic (not sure how to spell). So u wont feel a thing, either before or after.

Myth 2: I'll get some blood diseases through blood donation.
Truth 2: For every donor, the nurse uses a new, sterile needle. So you wont get any infectious diseases.

Myth 3: I dont have enuf blood oledi. I cannot donate.
Truth 3: Well, on average each person will have 4-5 litres of blood. The blood donation only take around 450ml, which is only one tenth of the total. Unless u have masive operation (including give birth) or for female during menstruation, otherwise u have enuf blood to donate.

Myth 4: Donate blood harm me. I'll not have enuf blood if i donate.
Truth 4: The blood that u donate will be replaced in about 72 hours. So no harm will be done to your body. Furthermore, the next donation is 3 months later which is long enuf for your body to recuperate.

well, the list goes on and on... but these r the most common reasons ppl will give to avoid donating blood... well, i have friends tat r healthy and can run and sports but tell me i have not enuf chi (TCM stuff, got to do with life force or energy thingy)... wat de... go and die lah... such lame excuses... or they will say i m not feeling well when they can jump here and there... i really dont understand y ppl dont want to donate blood... it wont do u harm, it give other ppl life, u got free gifts from them, free food/refreshment after tat...

well, my friends, if u read my this entry, and u can donate blood, please do... i plead to u all, go donate blood... *i m not trying to curse anyone* u or your family member will have time when need blood transfusion, wat if no blood, tat is because selfish ppl dont want to donate... so please donate blood, dont wait till it is too late, then u donate... and please try to persuade as many ppl to donate as possible... Thanks....

The end of FAP

phew... finally, my hall production had came to an end... no more late night work for the publicity... actually, got one final thing to do for hall production, which is to take out the banners... after tat really no more things liao.. muahahaha... at last, i'll have more time for myself either to study or play maple... LOL

anyway, yesterday night after the production when to Harry's Bar at Esplanade with Huimin and Grace... nice place, nice performance (yeah, live band), nice ambience and most importantly nice company... a recommendable place for ppl who want to chill-out on Friday or Saturday night...

now since i have more time, time to play maple... hahahaha

Youngster

sometimes we do things and did not consider the consequences... well, guess i learnt my lesson today... dont just do things according to your emotion, but must be sensible and think of the consequences... if "you" my blog, i just want to say i m really sorry... please forgive us... if u dont, then i just hope tat u can feel the sincerity and forgive us...

anyway, heard this conversation in the bus "I have 2 iPod Nano and 1 516 mp3 player"... kids nowadays, dont know the value of money, spend money like they use water... dont know how to save... y would u want to have 2 iPod Nano and 1 mp3 player??? seriously, i think a lot of ppl haven really face poverty before thus they dont know how to value money...

well, although i spend a lot of money also but at least i know how to value my $$$... i do sometimes spend without thinking but most of the time i do consider hard before getting something (i may not look like it but i really do)... in fact a lot of my friends do spend money like water... they really have to suffer before they will start to cherish the money they have... there is nothing much i can do, even i explain to them, it is not going to help much, they have to go through the poverty before they understand...

*really feeling bad now, hope u will forgive me... dont really mean it...*
