CNY updates

there are so many things i wanna blog about, but i forgot wat is it.. hahaha.. my STM getting worse these days..

stuffed myself full over the CNY.. i think i gained 1 extra inch.. *sigh* but those pineapple tarts and love letters were simply too irresistible.. wat more can i do but to eat them? LOL

of all things during CNY, i think i like mahjong the best.. hahha..

and now i know where my alcoholic comes from!! it runs in the family.. my family + relatives can finish 1 carton (24 cans) of Carlsberg, 1 carton of Guiness Stout and 2 bottles of Cordon Blue Martell in 1 night!! i'm amazed..

i'm missing mahjong.. dont have much chance to play mahjong.. mahjong anyone?

by the way, CNY coming, and i'll be away for CNY.. going back JB today and will only be back on, maybe, Wednesday.. hahaha.. will be kinda uncontactable.. cos no roaming and no internet access..

what is the one thing tat you like most about CNY?? i think for me is the pineapple tarts.. LOL..

i think i have slim down a little bit.. hahaha.. due to starvation.. not really a good way to slim down.. eating irregularly too.. hahah.. hope things will improve after i start working.. whee~~

signed the job offer letter today.. so dear friends, look forward to my first month pay treat soon.. probably in March or maybe in April.. hahaha.. cos a bit of debt to settle first..

yesterday's movie didnt turn out alright.. the movie was canceled and a bit hoo-hah over it.. ohh, well.. but it was always fun sitting in MacD (or any other place), simply chatting with friends..

Chilly

the weather these few days were very cold and chilly.. it chilled to my bone.. i have no choice but to wear long sleeves shirt even though i am going out on a sunny afternoon..

wat i'm up to recently? nothing much.. just slacking and coming to a decision regarding the job offer.. haha.. meanwhile apply for any other position tat interest me too..

CNY is just round the corner.. but this year dont seems to have tat festive mood.. hahha.. one thing i cannot tolerate is the CNY songs in English lyrics.. *yucks*.. and NTUC keeps playing that ang moh version of CNY songs.. *bleh*

i wanna eat jam tarts and BBQ pork slices.. hahaha..

Dilemma

now tat Barney mentioned it, i realised i didnt online for very long le.. didnt update my blog for very long too.. hahaha.. dusty le.. *take out feather duster*

wat am i busy with? running errand for my auntie and cousin.. cos my cousin coming to s'pore to study, so need to bring him around, help him with the admin (ICA, medical check-up, etc etc).. and also giving tuition to 2 kids.. the same students tat i taught last year..

oh yeah, i got a job le.. starting 2nd Feb.. hahahaa.. but actually hor, tat is like my back up.. i'm still waiting for other interviews.. *sigh* a bit of a dilemma now.. the person in charge want me to sign the job offer letter this sunday (weird hor, on a sunday.. hahaha).. but i'm still kinda waiting for other job interviews and offers.. wat should i do? any good advice?

a bit of an emotional roller-coaster past few weeks.. i'm anticipating my pms coming soon..

The Power of Now

so how your first 3 days of 2009? well, good or bad, there are 362 days more to 2010.. so better make good use of the remaining days.. okay, i'm a bit siao, 2010 is still far away, but hei, time usually pass by very quickly.. so dont delay, start now!!

there is actually a book called "The Power of Now".. though i haven read it, but i have my own theory of "Power of Now"..

interestingly, most ppl seems to always waiting for the right moment.. the right moment to start a project, the right moment to call someone, the right moment to make the big break.. so when is this right moment?

interestingly also, history already happened.. future is something tat will never happen.. so we actually live in a perpetually NOW! (if i'm not wrong, the author of "The Power of Now" said something similar)..

so why wait? why cant you do it NOW? whether is to lose tat extra inches around your waist, get better grade, start a project, call someone you love, do it NOW.. chuck away your organiser or to do list, they actually help you to procrastinate.. instead of planning when to do something, or writing a list of "to do", just start now..

a thousand miles journey begins with a single step.. just take the first step, even if it is very small step, at least you are a small step closer to your goal.. you dont have to immediately start jogging 2km, start by walking up the stairs instead of taking lift.. you dont have to finish revising the whole book immediately, start by reading a page a day.. you dont have to complete the whole project immediately, start by finishing a small part of it.. you get the idea..

so, dont wait anymore! lost time will never be found again..

Na new year, a new beginning.. i think i have been saying the same thing every year.. hahaha..

all right, get straight to the point!! New Year's Resolution.

1. Learn Chinese
2. Start to save more regularly
3. Start and maintain a food blog
4. Start and maintain a small business (dont give me tat weird look okay)
5. Pursue my social work and/or volunteer management qualification

wat i had been doing in 2008? seriously, i cant remember much.. is it a good thing or bad thing not to remember much? oh well.. guess have to dig my blog history to know wat exactly happened.. hahah..
