Donate Blood, Save Life

8 times and counting!! donated blood yesterday.. in reality it is more than 8 times, cos a few times were in JB, so not in Singapore record.. oh well, it doesnt matter..

every time i went blood donating, i got the urge to try to persuade someone to donate blood too.. be a blood donor today!!

if your main reason for not donating is "dont have time" "not convenient".. think again.. the Blood Bank @ HSA is just opposite Outram Park MRT.. very convenient.. on Friday, it will be opened till 8pm.. even open on Saturday and Sunday.. if you work near Outram, and you have a quick lunch, you can even squeeze some time to donate blood.. there are also Mobile Blood Donation Drives at various locations, almost everyday.. i'm sure you can find one tat is near your house or workplace!!

do you know tat only 1% of S'pore population donate blood regularly? a lot? not really..

do you know tat HSA need to collect 350 units daily to meet the transfusion needs of 83,000 units yearly? do you really think they manage to get 350 units everyday?

neeway, Canele revisited today with Pat, YX and WS.. somehow the pasta dont have the scallop tat i'm looking forward to.. the chef said the scallop was chopped and mixed into the sauce.. but somehow i feel tat either they forgot to put, or they ran out of scallop!! bohoo~~

Part-time Housewife

now tat i'm staying with my sis and i'm jobless, i had become the part-time housewife househusband housebrother.. cooking, washing, cleaning, scrubbing, groceries shopping etc..

not tat i mind..

my cooking is not bad.. hahah.. vegetables, meat, fish, prawns.. no problem!!

all my tuition sessions not only drain my energy, but it also make me miss all the show tat i wanna watch.. Sayang Sayang, CSI, Criminal Minds, Yang Sisters, Ghost Whisperer, Parental Guidance etc etc.. hope there will be a repeat telecast at a time tat i'm able to watch!!

i need to progress on~~ cannot keep staying at where i'm at now.. time to move on!!

it is going to be the end of August soon.. when Sept arrives, i'll find a temporary job, while still looking for a suitable job.. cant just sustain on my tuition fees.. anyone got lobang?

bumped into a senior from SBS today at PP Borders.. hahaha.. a nice surprise!! ever since he graduated, didnt meet up with him at all.. *guilty*

i must say i'm not really a social butterfly.. yet i do cherish my friends.. but i'm guilty of neglecting my friends sometimes too.. *sigh* there are so many friends tat i didnt meet up with since ages ago.. one bad thing about this problem is, the friendship will get more distance.. i should do something about it!!

dont have mood to look for jobs recently.. the last resume sent was like two weeks ago.. should i just be a cashier at 7 11 or NTUC? *sigh*

being moody again.. can someone give me a hug?

got a sudden urge of going back to JB.. when was the last time i'm back at home? cant remember.. is it more than half a year? oh well, my parents are making frequent trips to visit me anyway.. haha..

sometimes it is really hard to strike a balance between wat u really wanna blog and trying not to offend other ppl, especially your friends..

i think i'm turning moody and emotional again.. shucks.. hope it wont stay long..

recently, the antisocial-virus has been spreading.. though it had not affected my directly, it had affected me indirectly.. when your friends are having the antisocial-virus, u dont wanna provoke them, else u will have to bear the consequence yourself.. haha..

a friend of mine had been blogging about being tired from ECA.. she mentioned about being lethargic and wanna take a break.. but i beg to differ.. if it is really something tat u like and enjoy doing, y would u feel lethargic? physically tired from the activities, yes.. lethargic, no.. feel dishearted sometimes, yes, but give up, no..

is the same reason y i continue to join FOC for my school, years after years.. 4 years to be exact, and my final year as an adviser to the chairperson.. too bad i'm graduated, else i'll join every year.. hahah..

and RSPHI too.. is the same reason y i try to join as many activities as possible.. is the same reason i wanna setup the alumni for RSPHI, cos i know there will be someone tat is like me.. is the same reason i try to be a terp, to be actively involved in the Deaf community..

and the reason being, i like it and i enjoy it.. and i like the ppl i met there..

pardon me if i have directly or indirectly hurt your feeling.. just being moody and emotional lately..

i still want my mooncakes!! snow skin mooncakes!! maybe some mooncakes will make me less moody.. haha..

Blah Blah and more Blah

more and more terp assignments coming my way.. not bad ehh, can practice my signing and at the same time earn some extra cash.. (for those who still dont know, yeah, i do earn some money whenever i do terping).. but i still cant help feeling tat my signing is super bad.. though the deaf and the hearing impaired keep mentioning tat i'm signing pretty well, i still can feel my 'chui'-ness..

tuitions these days are making me tired.. somehow i feel like stopping all my tuitions.. but, oh well, for the sake of the extra income..

job search getting nowhere also.. though not in a hurry to look for a job, but cant help feeling the stress and pressure.. i wonder if the 'qian' from the temple in Taiwan will be accurate? hahah..

looking forward to the Mooncake Festival.. snow skin mooncakes, my fav!! lantern anyone?

A Medley of topics

though i'm not a very sporty person but i still do watch certain matches and games.. badminton being my favourite, swimming is next.. Lee Chong Wei, Malaysian badminton player got into the final!! whee~~ excited.. hope can win gold..

i'm sorry to say this, cos it will offend a lot of my Singaporean friends.. but i really wanna say it out.. wat so happy about Singapore female table tennis player got into final? *hint: Lee Chong Wei is Malaysian but ........*

went to the career fair at suntec today.. was darn crowded.. but the fair was a little disappointing.. nothing much..

but some interesting incidents happened though.. was approached by this particular financial planning company.. "you have the charisma tat our company is looking for".. cant help but keep beaming with smile.. whee~~ i'm charismatic!! hahah..

and someone said Pat sounded like foreigner.. not tat she mentioned it, to me Pat do look like Filipino.. hahah.. now we know tat Barney is not international.. Barney is from Philippines.. hahah..

and i lost a bet to Pat.. have to treat her to Starbucks.. all thanks to a particular butterfly, a social butterfly which has a DELAYED metamorphosis.. haha.. private joke!!

and i'm totally broke again.. *sigh*

Mom and Dad

my parents are in town to fuss over me.. good and bad things..

good things first.. well, they bought lots of food!! muahahah.. and basket full of mangoes.. i think i'm going to die of mango heatiness.. in less than 1 day, i oledi ate 5 WHOLE mangoes.. wohoo~~ and lots more to go.. all thanks to the mango "plantation" back at my home..

they also help me to clean and wash and scrub.. haha.. no need to do laundry for a few days or sweep floor or clean dishes..

well, bad thing.. they nag!! haha.. i guess all parents nag..

i love my parents.. but somehow, whenever they visit these few days, i just dont have time to be with them.. have to do other things.. bad timing..

when i first came to Singapore to study, i yearn for my parents to come and visit me now and then.. now my dream comes true.. haha.. and judging from the look of it, they will visit very very often!! hahah..

was giving flyers as odd job today.. then someone came and approached me.. haha..

hahaha.. imagine next time u got for massage, u lie on the bed, and from the door, walk in the masseur.. and the masseur is ME!! LOL..

did voice-to-sign and sign-to-voice today.. tot it was only voice-to-sign.. totally gave me a shock when the person in charged asked me to help voice out.. though the deaf clients and the hearing client all said i did okay, but deep down, i feel like 'sai'.. (>_<)'''

2 more assignments waiting for me.. time to practice more!! everyone who knows signing, COMPULSORY for u all to sign to me!! hahaha..

i dont understand something.. u join some organisation, u not happy with the system, u quit, u form/setup a new and similar organisation.. y?? cant just try to better the old organisation system?? i also know it is not easy to change something.. but y not give it a try?? i called it redundancy..

oh well, tat is life i guess~~

Sunday High

somehow last sunday and this sunday after IS2 lessons turned out to be super high outing.. haha.. IKEA last week with the new family, weird uncle with gold coins and the flower power!! this week was Marina and Bugis with NeoPrint (my last NeoPrint was ages ago and cant remember with who), MOF and banana.. haha..

went to take photos in convo gown AGAIN!! haha.. my third time oledi.. but sadly raining and spoilt everything.. have to meet again to finish it up.. haha..

timbre last night with ibu, miss watever, mt, pat, ws, yx and auntie was fun.. didnt drink much though.. and seriously i'm not "jiu gui" (direct translation: alcohol ghost).. the band "Goodfellas" is not bad.. they played a variety of songs.. not just a particular genre.. quote of the day for yesterday "Goodfellas! I tot it was some kind of a Christian holiday"..

going to kick start the RSPHI Alumni Group!! whee~~ excited!!

i cant believe i succumbed to the temptation.. bought 3 boxes of durians today.. hahaha.. had my tummy filled with delicious durians.. hahah.. been longing to buy for very long le.. and finally i got to eat it.. muahahaha..

whee~~ the planning today was high!! hope everything will go well.. hahah.. lotsa stuff to do!! will be busy busy busy.. hahah..

Cashflow and the Mass Meeting

i had been thinking of buying Cashflow 101 for very long time.. just when i'm about to make decision to buy or not, i met this person tat introduce me to Cashflow 101 workshop.. cool.. i can try out the game first before deciding to buy or not..

thus, today (or more precisely, yesterday), i went to attend the workshop.. not bad.. really a lot of ppl from all sorts of life.. students, engineers (mainly), teachers, doctors, etc.. the hand-on was just 1 hour, so couldn't really get very into the game.. but i must say, it was not easy to win (which is to get out of the rat race into the fast track and get your dream come true).. i must say i really learnt something today.. i think i'll get the game when i got my first pay..

funny thing about the organiser of this workshop.. they claimed to be from NTU, NUS and SMU entrepreneur Alumni (or something like tat.. cant really recall).. the Cashflow workshop is S$15, which i dont mind paying.. then they got other talks and seminars and sharing sessions.. i dont mind attending some of those.. the weird thing is the organiserS (yes, i capitalised the S, to emphasis on not only 1 person, but a few) like try very hard to get me to attend other talks, seminars or sharing sessions.. there is nothing wrong with it, but somehow i felt that the way they persuade me to join is like trying to "convert" me.. i'm a bit taken a back.. they really tried too hard and i really felt something is not right.. maybe it is a big scam.. i dont know.. but anyway, i agreed to join in one more free talk.. if i felt the same thing, i'm not going to go back..

attended the mass meeting for the RSPHI.. a bit draggy though.. but generally, i find it not bad.. it is good that they wanna do some changes, and it is good that they wanna discuss it as a whole before making changes.. but i'm kinda disappointed when only 2 ppl raise their hands to indicate they interested in becoming terp, and one of them is someone i dont really like.. hmmmm..
