angry.irritated.confused

thanks to Van and WS for coming for the brisk walk with the elderly.. though it was chaotic and messy.. i’m sure to ask for a reasonable explanation from the organising committee.. i’m sure to DEMAND for it!! will sure make a hell for them.. i’m sure the minister and the GOH only see the nice side, but i’m sure to expose the ugly side!!!

arrgghh.. grrrr.. angry..

well, stop by at Udders with WS and Van too.. woolala.. like the whisky Java chocolate.. and crabs too with my 2 sisters in the evening.. hahaha..

and yesterday night went for frog leg porridge.. cheap and nice.. then stop by this bistro at ECP (near the carl’s junior tat side).. nice place and ambience.. but the band simply bad.. well, overall, nice place..

read something totally unbelievable today in the Sunday Times.. i do not understand why Singaporean (sorry, i have to differentiate here, usually i dont differentiate myself with Singaporean) care about the “standard rate” for giving angpow for wedding.. oh gosh, this is one of the Singapore culture tat i can’t understand..

giving the couple an angpow during wedding is just a gesture of congratulating them.. a gesture of good will, of wishing them happiness and for chinese is for the auspicious.. so wat with the standard rate?

礼轻情义重。 so wat matter most is your heart.. how sincere you are.. if i’m the groom, and i know u are rather unwilling to pay for the standard rate angpow, i rather u dont give at all.. i wouldn’t want ppl to feel pressured to give me angpow.. i rather receive an angpow of S$10 but out of sincerity than S$188 out of pressure..

similarly, if i am sincere about giving S$10 as an angpow, i’ll just give S$10.. i wont give more just because the standard rate is otherwise.. i believe whoever receive my S$10 can surely feel my sincerity..

of course if i am able to and i think it is worth it, i will give more than the standard rate too.. especially if it is for my close friends.. heck care about the standard rate.. totally rubbish..

i will never give angpow based on the standard rate.. cos i think our friendship and my blessing to them is not measured in term of money.. it should run deeper than tat.. the angpow is ultimately for auspicious gesture only!!!

A New Chapter

i am hoping to write a new chapter in my life story.. but i am still a little hesitant.. hesitant about wat, you may ask.. but i myself is unsure about it..

at times if wonder if i made the correct decision.. but no point regretting about it, cos till now there is no time machine yet.. all i can do is look forward and hope tat my future decision will be more fruitful..

i wanna apply for this position of counsellor at MOE.. as school counsellor.. wonder if i can get it.. i just keep my fingers cross..

any of you out there believe in predicting the future? do you think your future is cast in stone or changeable?

have you really read Hans Andersen’s Fairy Tales? as in, in his original text?

i just read some of his work on my iPod touch.. was especially touched by his Little Mermaid story.. of course we all know the story of Little Mermaid, but the original, trust me, is best!! i cried while reading it in the train.. so much more touching than the abridged version for the kids..

you all should try to read the original.. and by the way, my sis tot that the Snow Queen story is about Snow White’s stepmother.. LOL

Of Life and Death

celebrated Jo’s b’day yesterday.. Timbre @ Arts House.. the night was fun, except for the very warm weather.. LOL.. “Jo, u not young le.. hahah.. quickly get a rich guy and be a tai tai soon, okay!”

well, life is unpredictable.. just on last thursday, attended my friend’s wake.. yup, my friend passed away.. well, more like an acquaintance.. a bit regretful tat i didnt get to know him better.. may him have peace in his afterlife.. and may his family find solace tat he will be happy in his afterlife..

life is just like a fluttering butterfly.. fragile and yet full of life.. cherish you life, live life to the fullest..

a discussion with Fir yesterday in his car somehow make everything into perspective.. if fear paralyze you from trying, the you will never achieve success.. if you look at the history of all successful people, no one had never fail before.. failing is just a part of success.. dont let fear of failure paralyze you..

Charity Dinner

my parents are going to China again.. and only god knows how long it will be.. hahaha..

initially i wanna talk about the shit in office.. but then again, i better not, if not all my blog will be on the shit in office.. LOL..

picked up this book at NLB.. “How to Draw and Paint Crazy Cartoon Characters”.. LOL.. going to learn how to draw.. whee~~ and hopefully can have my own comic strips in NST.. hahaha..

i think i got the rough draft for the logo of Project Java.. will finish it up this coming weekend.. muahahahha..

i wanna organise an ad-hoc charity dinner.. anybody wanna join in to help with the organising?

Java

the meet up on Friday proved very interesting.. Project Java.. top secret mission.. it will surely provide the excitement tat i seriously need now.. but then again, i wonder if i can handle it.. hahah..

now tat we launched project Java, i was thinking of starting a project for oversea volunteering trip too.. anybody interested? i know JH is interested.. probably need a few more ppl to form the core committee, then we will plan and see how it goes..

looking forward to 17, 18 and 19 Oct.. my 3rd visit to Phuket.. hahaha..

i wanna learn about project management, learn skating, learn piano, learn about computing, learn drawing, learn to use Adobe Phtoshop, learn lotsa stuff!!! hahaha..

i’m going to Phuket again, Round 3!! and this time round is confirmed.. anybody wanna join me? i’m addicted to travelling..

taking a 1/2 day off today.. so i’m slacking at home now, even though i’m wide awake at 8 am and can go to work.. but dont care, i just wanna have my morning break.. LOL

went back to JB last weekend.. met up with some best friends from JB.. went to this pub/club place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.. not too bad, ok ok environment.. and the guy from the band is so suai!! LOL.. and LF got the chance to dance with him.. so jealous..

will post up the photos to facebook once i found my cable!! darn, dont know where i put it.. =(
