How selfish can we be? A plea for help~~
how selfish can human be?
out of the 10 friends tat i asked to go along for blood donation, 11 will say no~~ amazing right!! (okay, a bit exaggerate).. how selfish ppl can be..
"Every hour of the day, 12 units of blood are used in Singapore. We need to collect at least 350 units a day, as a whopping 83,000 units are needed in a year, just to meet the transfusion needs of patients in Singpaore." - HSA Website
wat appalled me is, they dont give a valid reason for a NO.. i dont understand.. they dont even go for the health assessment, how can they just say NO? how can they just say NO when they haven even try to?
the worst reason is busy or no time.. hello~~ wake up.. a pack of blood can save 3 lifes.. isnt it enuf for u to go and donate? lets say u spend 45 mins (including admin etc).. 45 mins in exchange for 3 lifes.. isnt it worth it?
"Donating blood is an act of great human kindness. Your blood can save the life of another person." So here i'm pleaing for all those who read my blog.. please try to go and donate blood.. please do not just give a NO.. go for the health assessment, if really no, then fine, it might be fate.. so next time i hope my friends will not just brush off my invitation to go donate blood with just a plain, monotonous NO..
PS - please for those i asked and you all said NO, and you have valid reason, i sincerely apologise.. this post is mainly for those who just said NO with no wat-so-ever reason..

hmm... yea, chill eh.. think most of them ve valid reasons.. some dun want to hai ren also.. e other time i donated then went shit when i realised tat i may not be 100% healthy.. but blood donation is good! one coming soon near my CC, come and support!!
well, that's y they have health assessment for u before u donate... if u really not suitable or not healthy, they will tell u de...
the point is most of them dont even make the effort to go to the health assessment lor...
of course those with valid reason, i understand lah... those tat dont have and yet dont want to donate, i just dont understand...
