Highlight - CANELE @ Robertson Walk

was out the whole day.. darn tired now..

morning till late afternoon - some SMU students from Uni-Y (some subclub under YMCA) wanna bring SSD students to the Discover Centre, thus they need terp.. out of goodwill and also the urge to improve my signing, i agreed to help out for free.. the organising committee was very chui.. they dont know wat was going on, dont know wat to expect, didnt prepare properly..

well, the terping was less stressful than my yesterday assignment.. *phew* and Dennis was there the whole time.. so occasionally, a bit of stress.. hahah..

late afternoon till late evening - went to eat at CANELE at Robertson Walk.. OMG~~ the food was fantastic!! had Tomato & Crab pasta.. *foooo* darn good!! and the Marinara looks good too, with succulent prawns, squids, my fav mussels and most importantly, scallop tat is bigger than the spoon!! cant wait till the next time i'm there.. the crepes was fantastic too.. mouth watering and heavenly.. the strawberry shortcake is to wonderful to be described.. u guys just gotta experience it yourself!!! ohhhlaalaaa.. did i mention the super nice ambience? perfect for just sitting and nua, perfect for just chilling out with friends..

night - gave tuition to a particular kid.. no comment!

Green Green BBQ & the terping experience

green green BBQ at ah hai's house was a success!! whee~~ the fantastic satay from clementi, sotongs, prawns, fishes, chicken wings, fondue.. it is really hard to remain slim.. haha.. can next year BBQ theme be floral? please, pretty please.. *watery eyes*

went for terping today.. first formal terping.. *bleh* horrible.. really need more practice~~ another terping in 2 weeks time.. hope can perform better..

Just F***ing Do It!!

2 phrases grab my attention today..

"It is not wat you got tat matters, it is how you use wat u got tat matters".. or something like tat.. this phrase came from the movie Step Out 2.. watever skills and talents you have, if you dont use it properly, then it will be useless.. so is how u use it tat matters..

JFDI.. "Just F***ing Do It!!".. life is too short to hesitate too much.. and life is too short to be filled with regret.. so why wait? just f***ing do it!! to say I Love You to tat particular someone, to do tat bungee jumping tat u always dream of, to get the job tat u always wanna do, to travel the world, to hang around with friends, to wear the bunny suit and walk around Orchard Rd, to dance in the rain, to eat dumpling with your toes.. JFDI!! as long as in your heart, it is worthwhile~~

i think JFDI will be my motto for quiet sometime.. hahah.. cos i like it.. JFDI!!

Convocation and IntroBar

convocation turned out to be kinda fun~~ though the waiting process of going to stage was boring, the taking photos after tat was fun.. running around and taking photos with all sort of ppl.. haha.. friends, family and professors..

went to the Introbar at Swissôtel The Stamford with Zionites and LP after tat.. initially wanted to go to City Space at Swissôtel The Stamford also, but they dont have enuf seats for the 9 of us, so went to Introbar instead.. it is a nice place to just sit around and catch up with friends or having heart to heart talk.. by the way, City Space is cool too.. jazz, my fav..

i think after the convo, i had a new revelation.. i realised tat i shouldnt hesitate, i should just go ahead and do it.. i'm still young anyway, i should try things out, instead of limiting myself..

Around Singapore in Convo Gown

went out the whole day to take photos in convocation gown.. NTU, esplanade etc.. *phew* leg aching.. yet satisfied!! thanks YX for helping us taking the photos and thanks Pat for helping to coordinate!! arigato~~ cant wait for the photos..

am looking for general reading materials on accounting, tax law, business law and any related topics.. thanks in advance.. y i want it? haha.. is to be one step closer to my dream of opening a restaurant and/or cafe.. =)

Financial Planning, Securing your future?

kuishin-bo yesterday with the Zionites at JP was very satisfying.. yummy.. and i think i can stuff one more mango pudding.. hahah.. when is the last time i met them? cant remember.. haha.. cant wait for the mahjong session tomolo..

do you know tat to save 1 million in 20 years, you need to save 4166.67 a month (of course i haven factor in the interest rate and stuff lah.. but still..)? do you know how much u need for you to live comfortably after your retirement? do you have an insurance yet? how much coverage you need for your insurance? do you know the inflation rate now? investment? wat type of investment? how? who, what, when?

i would really hope my friends will go and do some financial planning.. it is important.. no, i didnt join some financial planning group.. so i'm not trying to psycho u to buy financial products from me.. but i really realised how important it is to plan your financial properly.. otherwise you will slog your life away, an in the end u got nothing and have to depend on your children (provided u have any).. if you can provide for yourself after retirement, why rely on your children?

i got one financial planner, though i'm not sure she is good or not.. cos just met her a few times.. if any of u want, i can intro.. or you can find one yourself.. bottom line is, please do some financial planning..

Not the only one

dinner on Saturday with Ibu, Auntie, TL and V-jie at Purvis Street.. the same shop tat the Zionites went a few months ago.. hahaha.. a whole chicken for 5 of us.. whee~~ good food make me happy..

new tuition on Sunday.. now my Sunday will be burnt too.. arrgghh~~

when swimming yesterday after tuition.. OMG~~ NEVER.. let me repeat, NEVER go swimming on a Sunday evening.. packed and crowded with ppl.. cant really move about.. cant even swim without hitting someone..

i tot i'll look more tanned after yesterday swimming, how come i looked more pale now?? weird..

spend the whole day doing nothing.. am i glad to know tat i'm not the only one suffocating.. TT, good luck on your job hunt too~~

asphyxiating

there are so many things i wanna blog about, but too lazy to do tat.. well, funny thing about blogging is, once u delay, u dont feel like blogging it anymore.. haha..

as for the grad trip update, i'll get to it eventually, so please be patient..

i think i'm suffocating.. not literally, but metaphorically.. asphyxiating from the invisible stress..

parents been urging me to get a job ASAP.. friends all starting career.. most outing nowadays revolved around the topic of "hey, u got a job oledi?" or "i'm working at blah-blah company".. i'm suffocating..

the cause

i think i found out the reason behind my moodiness these few days.. it is the book tat i am reading currently.. Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult, that i bought at Taipei airport with my extra New Taiwan Dollars..

the book is nice and fantastic.. too nice and fantastic tat it affected my emotion, i guess.. it was about a shooting incident in a school, it was also about trying to fit in and trying to be the popular crowd, trying to defend yourself, the complicated world of teenagers..

in a way, a lot of the stuff in the book, i can identify with..

in a way, i want my life to be like those dramas and anime, where the lead always hang out with their buddies, get into trouble together, have fun together, support each other and stuff.. all nice and cool.. tat they have happy ending and things like tat.. but i guess reality is very much different..

arrgghh.. i dont even know wat i'm writing now.. it is so much easier to blame the moon!! darn!!

Roller-coaster

back from my grad trip.. too tired to blog about it now.. furthermore, not all the photos with me, cos a few ppl brought cameras..

been on an emotional roller-coaster these few days.. need to 'shou shi wo de xing ching'.. my Cancer side been acting up again..
