Pretty Hectic Weekend

i dont see y i should be telling everyone and spoiling everyone’s mood.. i dont see y i cant be attending all those appointment tat i had made since it didnt clash with any of them.. saying i’ve urgent family matter will be good enuf..

had a quite hectic and busy day.. met up with CT in the not-so-morning morning to change the Singtel name back to mine..

then rushed to Novena to meet up with the crazy ice cream gang.. then walked all the way to my office to settle some stuff.. i hope my office didnt bore the ice cream gang..

off in a cab to the changi airport.. to get my flight ticket to Penang for the next day (today, if you are looking at the 24 hours system).. had a bowl of very salty laksa too..

then off again in a cab to Serangoon Garden Country Club for RSPHI election cum appreciation..

Chomp Chomp after tat for some ‘tang he’ which didnt really satisfy my appetite..

will be away from Singapore till Wednesday.. hopefully will be back by Wednesday night..

something to be happy about, and, in fact i told a few people le.. i got promoted!! hahah.. and dont ask me “got pay increase or not”.. i'm not someone who put too much weight on pay.. i’m not saying pay not important, just tat not as important as other stuff tat i’m looking at..

After a long while

it has been a while since my last blog entry.. kinda busy recently and also kinda ‘energy-drain’ with all the work, tuition and night classes.. haha.. but i’ll recharge.. so dont worry yeah..

the long awaited dinner with Jo, CT, WZ, and XW+her bf.. love the mojito (pronounce as MOH-HHII-TO) at South Bridge Jazz.. perfect for chatting.. nice place to just laze around.. but i still like City Space.. hahaha..

when are we having dinner again?

some drastic changes in my office.. now i’m sort of the main in-charge person.. y? cos my VP fired my supervisor.. long story.. so now all the project, big and small, are on my shoulder.. not a bad thing though, at least i got more things to do.. hahah..

the ‘almost-use-quota’ at McD with GCXY was fun.. LOL.. hope i didnt distract u from your work.. thanks for the listening ears too.. and if u ever need my ears, do not, i repeat, DO NOT hesitate to call me..

ohhh.. i’m so excited over my challenge!! more and more ppl donate le.. i’m so happy.. it is at S$125 now le.. and there is the 100 from WS and 10 from Kek.. i haven got time to help them do yet.. hahah.. so by right should have S$235!! wohoo~~ but still far from the S$1800!

spend alot these few days.. how?? bank account is getting very slim now.. arrgghh!!!

bought a few things tat are kinda expensive.. and hopefully it is really beneficial.. only time will tell.. *sigh* impulse.. hahah..

okay, time to simplify my finance, else i’ll have to declare bankrupt!! LOL..

A very sinful weekend

had a very enjoyable and sinful weekend!! wohoo~~ thanks KK and LF for coming to S’pore to visit me..

the fun began on Sat night.. KK and LF arrived at S’pore.. well from JB of course.. hahah.. went to City Space to enjoy the drinks, view and fantastic company.. such a long time since last seen them.. the food was satisfying.. Jazz in the City, Bloody Mary, Margarita, Sauza Threesome and of course my all time favourite, Kilkenny.. chatted and played and crazy together till almost 4am!! gosh~~

Sun was shopping day.. KK was so keen on Topman.. LOL.. and i dont understand y would someone spend about 10 for a plain T-shirt.. well, if tat makes him happy, so be it..

went to Tampines 1 with them too.. not really tat big leh.. kinda small in fact.. but the crowd, oh gosh, was disgusting.. we spend about 30 mins in the darn carpark trying to get a space.. LOL

and i finally saw the ice-cream making machine tat i’m looking for.. but it is so small only.. only 1.5 quart.. which is about 500ml only.. *sigh*

oh, and how can i forget tat LF is working in food production and manufacturing industry? so glad tat she supported my ice-cream business idea.. wohoo~~ and she can help me with lotsa stuff!! hahah..

the sinful weekend ended with crab beehoon, and other ‘zhi char’ items with LF, KK and LF’s uncle and auntie.. wohoo~~ the food not bad.. LOL..

friends forever yeah.. okay, it sounds corny.. but who cares.. FRIENDS FOREVER!! LOVE YEAH!! =)

Fuji (Gen), a grumbling about wat she is doing at 2.57am (WP) and a comment about what she misses (WC) can generate more comments and thoughts from other ppl than a plea for donation..

i hate it when i talk to my VP.. she is actually a nice lady.. and i would say she kinda inspirational and influential.. inspired by her to continue in social services.. but i wanna start my business too.. kinda torn apart..

ohhh.. and i found out where i can get a ice-cream maker.. considering to buy one.. it cost S$798 though.. am saving up to buy it now.. or anybody wanna donate to “Buy Edmund a Ice-cream Maker Fund” (BEIMF)..

Business

the thought of starting my own business getting stronger and stronger.. though i’ve no idea wat kind of business it will turn out to be.. hahha.. and not sure it will happen or not.. but at least will try to make it come true..

• ice-cream parlour
• home-based cleaning/part-time maid services
• coffee bar
• small scale restaurant

on my way back, i went to Harvey Norman and Best.. i’m looking for a ice-cream making machine.. sadly they dont have.. anybody knows where i can get a consumer ice-cream making machine? the inspiration to make ice-cream and start a ice-cream parlour is boiling in me.. hahaha..

i’m so determined to start my business now.. but i wonder how long it will last.. hahaha.. and how far i will go.. only time will tell..

spent a little money today though.. Latte Factor again.. bought a DVD set.. The Adventure of Merlin.. simply cant help myself when it comes to shows with sorcery, witchcraft, magic and related stuff.. wohoo~~ gonna put it in my ipod touch and watch it during the bus rides, mrt rides etc.. hahaha..

Home Alone

got so many stuff to blog about but no inspiration to write.. haha..

satay and ice-cream yesterday was, ohh-la-la.. loving Sunset Way.. can i move there? someone buy me a house there.. please, pretty please..

finally i finished up the whole box of donuts.. kinda sick of it now.. diabetic!!

and i’m home alone for a few weekends.. sad.. my younger sis went to china for holiday.. the tenants will go back home on weekends.. so i’m all home alone on weekends.. bohoo..

oh yeah, finally i got my S’pore PR.. wohoo~~ finally i can get to borrow books from NLB for FREE.. hahah.. and of course the other benefits like CPF and stuff.. in fact, i’ll head to the library right after i blog.. haha..

Surprised!

a surprised visit to auntie workplace yesterday.. all thanks to my tuition kid for cancelling the tuition.. hahah.. bi-a-tch-ing was fun..

too bad my donuts were left almost untouched.. so i’ll have to finish it all off.. hahah.. 9 donuts all to myself.. wohoo~~ diabetic soon..

spend a little too much yesterday.. must remind myself of the Latte Factor!! arrgghh.. but i’ve been good these days.. i kept a log of all my spending!!

Altruism: does it really exist?

while revising my psychology, there is this article on altruism.. does true altruism really exist?

love my psychology more and more.. but some classmates are pure irritating.. trying to be funny and act smart.. hate them.. reminded me of gl*r*a.. hahha..

funny thing is i didnt even bother to study when i’m in NTU.. weird huh..

procrastinating in work.. how? must get out of this habit.. i’m really slacking off.. must not continue like tat.. if not when all the dateline are near, i’ll die horribly..

Old-fashioned willpower: An action day

taken from the book “Think Smart Act Smart”

All too often, life can become an almost robotic cycle of tackling urgent but not necessarily important tasks. If you want to boost your effectiveness, you’ll need to try some new tactics. One way to jump-start your mind and body is by having an “action day”, in which you work at full throttle.

to cut the story short, you prepare a list of preferably 50 tasks.. mixture of small and large, physical and mental, administrative and creative.. from “start composing symphony” to “pay phone bill”

then you start the day at 8am and complete every item on your list.. remove all disturbance and temptations.. no interruptions, no distractions, not even break for lunch.. you prepare something to munch while you complete the tasks.. you only stop when you finish the whole list..

well, i tried tat today.. but i cant complete everything.. i made a list of 39 items to do.. i completed 22 of it.. slightly more than half.. not bad ehh.. guess my willpower not tat strong.. but it will improve.. cos i wanna attempt another action day on monday.. hahaha..

you guys should try it.. the boost in self esteem when you complete the list is really marvelous.. if you guys want, i can photocopy tat page and pass to you.. =)
